Course Introduction：

The aim of the course is:

•To define and discuss the premises and effects of industrialization and modernism on cities.

•To develop a critical stance for reviewing the proposals made by modern and contemporary architects, planners, and landscape architects to make cities “greener.”

•To conduct a comparative analysis between current climate change adaptation/mitigation measures and historical responses to the problems of the industrial city.

•To cultivate an understanding of the ecosystem approach and ecological rationality.

•To facilitate an informed, critical, and comprehensive understanding of “green cities” in relation to ecosystem thinking and ecological rationality.

界定并探讨城市工业化与现代主义的生成前提及影响;

回顾现、当代建筑师、规划师和景观设计师为打造"绿色城市"提出的建议;
